Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

1. The service

PDF Shrink is a free, browser-based tool that compresses PDF files to a target size you choose. All processing happens locally on your device; your files are never uploaded to our servers.

2. Acceptable use

You may use PDF Shrink for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial. You agree not to attempt to disrupt or abuse the service or its infrastructure.

3. No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Compression is lossy: pages are converted to images, text becomes non-selectable, and visual quality depends on your chosen target size.

Always review the compressed result before submitting it anywhere important, and keep your original file. We are not responsible for rejected applications, missed deadlines, or any consequences of using a compressed document.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Shrink and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Since your files never leave your device, data loss through the service is not possible — but you remain responsible for keeping your own originals.

5. Changes

We may update these terms or the service itself at any time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.

6. Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for details on the minimal data we collect.
